About Us

Camp Christian has been in operation for 74 years, and has impacted thousands of lives through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Camp Christian is co-owned and operated by several Christian churches on Colorado's Western Slope. During a typical camp, students engage in thought-provoking Bible studies, great worship, team-building activities, campfires, volleyball, hiking, and more! Students also have the opportunity to make new friends, to discover they are not alone in their faith, and to receive encouragement in their Christian Walk. Camp Christian exists to draw people to Jesus and equip them to walk with Him.

Our Team

Angie Templeton, Director

Angie has long felt a calling to serve at camp, with a desire to be part of the ministry for over 10 years. In 2022, God opened the doors for her to join the team, and she’s been faithfully serving ever since. Angie is passionate about programming the youth camps, and witnessing God’s continued faithfulness as He provides the resources to reach campers of all ages. Each camp session, she sees firsthand how God works in the hearts of young people, year after year.

Bob and Jacque Harper, Manager

Bob and Jacque have been passionately serving the Lord since 1971. Their journey of ministry began with two years of study at Intermountain Bible College, preparing them for mission work in Mexico, Turkey, Papua New Guinea, and various church communities in the States. In 2018, they answered God’s call to serve as Camp Managers at Camp Christian, where they have since poured their love, energy, and experience into nurturing this special place for ministry and transformation.
